太原钟楼街·上海饭店（老字号）悠久历史
这是太原本地老牌名店，并非上海本地酒店，是上世纪支援内地建设，从上海整体迁来的海派菜馆 。
一、起源：上海鸿运楼（1940‑1956）
它的前身，是上海城里有名的鸿运楼酒家，主营上海本帮菜，在上海已经有多年经营基础，厨师、全套厨具、菜谱体系全部成型，擅长江南浓油赤酱菜式，在上海餐饮圈小有名气。
1956年国家号召沿海企业支援内地建设，经商业部批准，鸿运楼整体内迁山西太原。
38名上海籍厨师、服务人员，带着全套锅碗厨具，从上海奔赴太原，落址当时太原最繁华的钟楼街，正式改名：上海饭店 。
二、五六十年代：太原餐饮标杆（鼎盛期）
落脚钟楼街之后，饭店建筑是明清楼阁式两层楼房，红大圆柱，金字牌匾，在当年太原非常气派。
- 菜系：保留上海本帮菜底子，又吸收浙、徽、粤以及山西本地口味，兼容改良。
- 招牌名菜：三套八宝鸭、三鲜脱骨鱼、响油鳝糊、香酥鸡、本帮红烧肉、龙井虾仁等海派名菜，当时太原能吃到正宗上海菜，只有这里。
- 社会地位：上世纪60‑80年代，太原人结婚办酒席、重要宴请、接待外地来客，优先选上海饭店，是几代老太原人的集体记忆。
三、时代沉浮（80年代‑2020）
随着市场经济发展，老钟楼街改造，上海饭店一度歇业、搬迁，老建筑被改造，老厨师陆续退休，曾经沉寂多年，很多老太原很怀念这家老字号。
四、涅槃重生（2021至今）
太原钟楼街历史街区整体复建改造，上海饭店老字号回归原址复开 。
- 装修复刻老上海风情，复古吊灯、老家具。
- 菜品保留传统本帮招牌，同时改良：减糖、少油，适配山西本地人口味。
- 既是吃饭的餐馆，也是钟楼街的历史文化符号，承载上世纪上海支援山西的一段城市记忆。
补充小知识点区分（容易混淆）
1. 太原·上海饭店：餐饮菜馆，上海鸿运楼内迁而来，钟楼街老字号。
2. 上海老饭店（上海本地）：1875年创立（荣顺馆），上海豫园，本帮菜鼻祖，和太原上海饭店不是同一家。
3. 和平饭店（上海外滩）：百年西式豪华酒店，和太原上海饭店无关。
