宜居太原留不住人,无数山西老乡远赴新疆谋生
80后山西人，怀揣“走西口”初心闯新疆。

身边朋友常说，太原是一座难得的宜居之城。盛夏时节，周边城市热浪滚滚，太原却格外清凉，夜里睡觉需要盖薄被，清晨出门还要穿上长袖，平均气温比周边低六七度。城市建设日新月异，快速路网四通八达，公园遍地、绿化可观，一年四季界限分明。漫步长风商务区汾河两岸，碧波绿树相映，恍惚间仿佛置身江南。
上次回太原，我和朋友两家人在汾河公园散步。这位朋友在南疆经营红枣生意十几年，常年往返晋疆两地，家人却始终没有踏上新疆这片土地。他感慨，太原环境舒适，奈何很难赚到足够养家的收入，万般无奈，只能远赴新疆谋生。
这番话我深有体会。曾经我从未想过离开太原，好不容易从老家农村走出，在太原扎根安家。可近几年生存压力越来越大，最终我也踏上西行之路。细细想来，这或许就是刻在山西人血脉里的“走西口”基因，日子艰难时，便向着西北寻找出路。
风光秀丽的太原背后，藏着不少现实难题。十几年前，太原立志冲刺万亿GDP，多年过去经济体量依旧徘徊在五千亿上下。承载几代太原人记忆的美特好一号店悄然闭店；作为城市中轴线的长风大街，多家商场陆续停业，不少高端写字楼大面积空置，街道上最多的只剩下药店、烟酒店与便利店。
曾经吸纳大量务工人员的太原富士康日渐萧条，普通人稳定就业的选择越来越少。综改区规划打造产业高地，如今厂区少见来往工人，工业园区慢慢被住宅小区取代。
不少太原亲友经常联系我，向往来新疆发展，传言这里机会遍地、挣钱容易。去年初到新疆，我也曾满怀期待，但是今年切实感受到市场行情遇冷。煤炭行业持续低迷，曾经火热的旅游热度回落，游客数量不少，但大多以低价穷游为主，消费能力有限。工程基建、能源资源领域门槛很高，普通小微企业很难涉足。
新疆普通上班族薪资大多在五千元上下，高薪岗位基本集中在央国企管理层。不少民营企业倘若连续一两年拿不到项目，难以为继，只能选择返乡。
太原是心底眷恋的故乡，风景宜人，是想要终老的归宿；新疆是谋生奋斗的他乡，承载着无数普通人的期待与挣扎。
这便是新一代走西口山西人的真实写照：故乡宜居，却难以安放肉身；远方辛苦，却尚存一线生计。无数人延续先辈“走西口”的足迹，在两地之间奔波取舍，负重前行。
